By first establishing a user oriented perspective to the development process and by stepping away from a medically oriented paradigm, additional opportunities can arise to encourage — and enhance — the mobility of life.

Shock Monitor is a medical device that assists personnel with the ongoing measurement of certain vital information critical to patient care. The design process explored usage in ER’s, ambulances, self care, and military field operation scenarios. The project scope included both a disposable hand probe and a portable display unit with the probe being the primary focus. It is ergonomically formed to hold the hand in a specified position for extended periods of time and through various levels of environmental commotion.

Another case for the iPad..? Yep. I call it the iTwist. This was designed to securely clamp down on the iPad so that it NEVER could fall out, bounce out, or slide apart when least expected again! Rather than a snap on clam shell, a two piece snap, or rubber glove, this iPad case has a large twist lock that opens the case to invite or release the iPad, and then twists back to cradle the important aluminum bezel within. There’s more... it also stands at two angles in all four directions and has a nice convenient place to store your stylus. Oh, and it’s sleek and sexy too...

The Curve ambient lighting solution is based on the all pervading Fibonacci sequence and the Golden spiral, providing aesthetic ambience to any office or living area. For relaxed, diffused light, simply turn it on and the light is projected from the spiral center and smoothly reflects around the interior of the sandblasted plexiglass surface. When the need for reading arises, just lift upward on the spiral column, extending the light tube and allowing the warm LEDs to spill onto the tabletop and the words you’re about to read.
